About MarSavvi
I’m Richard Gooding, and MarSavvi is how I give B2B SaaS and cybersecurity companies senior marketing leadership, wherever the gap is. I work with scale-ups, established teams and marketing leaders.
If an engagement needs more hands, I bring in specialists I know and trust, in areas like product marketing, content, digital, marketing automation and design. I brief them, manage the work and stay accountable for the result.
I'm based in London and work with companies across Europe and North America.
WHY MARSAVVI
Good products kept stalling
I kept seeing the same thing. B2B tech companies with great products couldn’t scale their marketing quickly, and lost traction.
The patterns were familiar. Positioning and messaging that was unclear or inconsistent. Hard-working junior marketers with too many competing demands, and no clear sense of what to focus on or ignore. Customer acquisition and revenue models that had stalled.
The missing piece was always senior leadership, early enough to guide the business as it scaled. So in 2017 I started MarSavvi, to put an experienced marketing leader in place when it matters most, in the amount the company needs: a fractional seat, interim cover or a defined project. The same approach has since worked for established teams with one hard problem, and for marketing leaders who want a peer’s view.

Twenty-five years in B2B tech marketing, the last fifteen in cybersecurity, data and SaaS, where buyers are technical, skeptical and not easily impressed by noise.
Before MarSavvi I spent six years at Kerio Technologies, joining as Marketing Director and rising to VP of Global Marketing. Kerio grew from $17M to $25M ARR before it was acquired. Since then I’ve been Libraesva’s fractional CMO for four years and Safetica’s interim CMO, and worked with Blancco, The Trade Desk and Thoughtworks.
My positioning work at Libraesva led to a Gartner Magic Quadrant and a Frost & Sullivan Radar. Research I commissioned at Blancco landed coverage in Computer Weekly, CIO and InformationWeek.
