MARKETING LEADERS · CMOs · B2B SAAS & TECHNOLOGY
Someone who's sat in your seat.
A second opinion on a big call, or a workstream run by someone who's done the job.
For CMOs and marketing leaders at B2B SaaS and technology companies.

WHAT BRINGS A CMO HERE
Two kinds of gap
Every CMO eventually hits a decision nobody in the building can pressure-test: a repositioning call, an AI rollout that hasn’t changed how the team works, a board presentation that needs to land right, a revenue lifecycle redesign nobody's done before.
Or the opposite problem: the strategy's clear, but the team doesn't have the hands or the specific skill to execute it fast enough.
Both are common. Neither means hiring another person.
HOW THIS WORKS
One role, whichever gap it is
Some engagements are pure strategy: a second opinion before a board presentation, a GTM plan that needs pressure-testing, a positioning call nobody else in the room can make objectively. Others are delivery: a specific workstream your team doesn't have the bandwidth or the skill for right now.
Either way, the brief is yours.
WHAT THIS LOOKS LIKE
Where I’m usually brought in
-
A second opinion before a launch, a pivot, or a plan that needs to survive contact with the board.
-
The call that's hard to make objectively from inside the building.
-
A second opinion on your AI approach, or the workstream to put it in place.
-
Brought in to redesign one piece of the stack.
-
Fix or rebuild for a revenue lifecycle model that's stopped reflecting how the business sells.
WHY TALK TO ME
I’ve been the CMO
Four years as Libraesva's fractional CMO. Nine months as Safetica's interim CMO, running alongside it, with neither one slipping. Before either, nine months as Interim Global Marketing Director at Blancco, leading a team of eleven.
Before any of that: six years as VP of Global Marketing at Kerio Technologies, growing it from $17M to $25M ARR before its acquisition.
The positioning work at Libraesva led to Gartner Magic Quadrant and Frost & Sullivan Radar recognition, the outcome many CMOs hire outside help to chase.
Richard is an excellent digital marketing leader with strong leadership and business strategy capabilities, matched with great execution. He's unique in combining sharp analytical skills with creative, messaging and branding ability - a rare combination that let him lead his team to consistently strong results across lead gen campaigns, reseller programs, creative execution, events, and the full range of marketing needs. I really enjoyed working with Richard and hope I have that opportunity again.

Where to start
This usually starts with one specific problem. If something particular is on your plate right now, start there.
